Report | Moscow Dive Show 2022

The Largest Exhibition for the Water Man in Russia and Eastern Europe

The first results of Moscow Dive Show 2022 are a record-breaking list of participants and countries, a powerful flow of professionals, an almost full occupancy of the hall and a hit of QR codes on tickets, which we steadfastly withstood.

Gostiny Dvor Exhibition Center

While the questionnaires of visitors are being processed and analyzed, we have prepared the first portion of statistics and record numbers.

1- Record number of participants.
The exhibition was attended by 249 companies from 32 countries. This is an absolute record for all the years of the existence of the Moscow Dive Show. And this despite the pandemic and closed borders, one can feel the expectation by the market of changes for the better and a return to normal life.

2- Tourist destinations were presented by dive centers, resorts, safari yachts and tourist departments of 16 countries: Maldives, Egypt, Malaysia, Cuba, Indonesia, Armenia, Greece, Cyprus, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Turkey, Tonga, Mozambique, Hungary, Russia.

3- Record hall occupancy.
The area of Gostiny Dvor is 12800 sq. m, of which 9600 sq. The occupancy of the hall in 2022 exceeded 95%. If this pace continues, there will be a shortage of vacancies, as it was until recently at the main European site Boot Show Dusseldorf. A hint to participants about the need for early booking of booths.

4- The largest screen. A huge diode screen with an area of 54 square meters appeared in the atrium of the auditorium. m. Stage performances are now even brighter.

5- Record number of registered professionals. Name badges were issued to dive instructors and Divemasters, freediving and spearfishing instructors, professional divers, skippers, representatives of travel companies and retailers. In 2022, 1161 PROFESSIONAL badges were issued.

6- QR codes at the entrance hit the tickets.
In 2020, statistics showed 20,000+ visits, in covid 2021 there were 18,000 of them, and if it were not for the mandatory verification of codes introduced for mass events by the Moscow City Hall, we would again step over the bar of 20,000 visitors.
The results of Moscow Dive Show 2022 are 17,600 visits and 11,800 unique visitors. Due to restrictions, we missed 20% of visitors, but this is much better than the cancellation, like most of the world’s exhibitions last year.

7- Moscow Dive Show is the only water show on the planet that has NEVER been canceled and was fully held in 2020, 2021 and 2022. And this is the biggest victory!

8- The vast majority of exhibitors have already confirmed their participation in the 2023 exhibition. Many have applied for expansion. So far, there are no abandoned stands.
Preliminary calculations showed the preservation of the top three – Egypt, Turkey and the Maldives. It was in these countries that visitors to the Moscow Dive Show 2022 dived, sailed and surfed the waves more often.

The dates for the next year have been approved. In 2023, we will be waiting for you in Gostiny Dvor on February 9 to 12.
We are opening booth reservations for participants and preparing a new program for guests!
